Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to use specialised equipment in the provision of advanced resuscitation in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines

Target Audience:
This unit applies to workers who may be required to use specialised equipment to provide resuscitation in a range of complex situations, include community and workplace settings.

- Provide CPR
- Manual Handling
- Infection Control
- DRSABCD
- Operate an AED
- Manage an unconscius casualty
- Oxygen administration
- Oropharyngeal airways
- Suction
- Observations
Course Duration
This course requires 1 day training, including practical emergency scenarios and classroom assessment.

Certificate of AttainmentHLTAID015 - Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen TherapyHLTAID009 - Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)Please note CPR is included in this unit and does not need to be booked separately.

Recommended Recertification:
Under the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines, it is recommended that those trained in HLTAID009 and HLTAID015 renew their skills every 12 months, in order for the units of competencies in this course to remain current.
