Fire and Emergency Evacuation Practice
Ensure your employees, tenants or guests are versed in evactuating the premises in the event of fire or other emergency
This exercise is designed for your specific premises, to incorporate and test your Fire and Evacuation plan. Its aim is to detect and then rectify any deficiencies in the plan, and to ensure your staff, tenants etc are versed in responding appropriately in an emergency situation.
IN AN EMERGENCY, EVERY MINUTE COUNTS. DON'T PANIC. BE PREPARED.
Target Audience:
This course is applicable to all businesses, building owners, strata managers etc responsible for ensuring evacuation drills are carried out at least annually, in compliance with Queensland's Building Fire Safety Regulation 2008
Evacuation Process:
- APTAS will provide you with the Fire Safety Adviser to assist you in assessing your Fire and Evacuation Plan, managing the evacuation exercise and assessing the response of your ECO members, staff, visitors etc
Exercise Duration:
Depending on the size of the building, location, number of occupants etc, this exercise may take anywhere from 1-3 hours.
Course Competencies Awarded:
An Evacuation Practice Record will be provided, as per the requirements of Building Fire Safety Regulation 2008
Recommended Recertification:
Queensland's Building Fire Safety Regulation 2008 mandates an evacuation practice be undertaken at least annually.
